Appeal following fatal road traffic collision

Police are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Chiswick.

Officers and London Ambulance Service were called to the westbound stretch of Great West Road (A4) at junction 1 of the M4, at approximately 21:40 hrs on Sunday, 8 May, to reports of scooter being involved in a collision.

The rider, a 29-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed but formal identification awaits.

A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

At this stage no other vehicles are thought to be involved.

Police would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who recalls seeing a grey scooter travelling westbound at the location around the time of the collision.
