Appeal following men injured in Stockwell

Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses after three men were injured following an incident in Stockwell.

Police were called at approximately 01:10hrs on Saturday, 8 August, to reports of a number of men fighting and gunshots heard in Combermere Road, Stockwell.

Officers and specialist firearms officers attended the scene and found three men with injuries.

A 22-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his hand, a 19-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his face and a 26-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his foot.

All three were taken to south London hospitals by the London Ambulance Service for treatment to their injuries. The 22-year-old man has since been discharged whilst the other two men currently remain in hospital.

Detectives from the Trident and Area Crime Command are investigating.

At this early stage detectives believe that a number of people had attended a function in Moat Place late on Friday, 7 August, into the early hours of this morning and they are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed anything in the lead up to the incident or the incident itself.

No arrests have been made and enquires continue.

Local officers will be providing a visible presence in the area for the duration of the weekend.
