Appeal following serious collision in Surbiton

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious collision in Surbiton.

Police were called to Upper Brighton Road junction with Croylands Drive, KT6 on Friday, 4 November shortly after 10:00hours to a report of a collision between a pedestrian and a double-decker bus.

Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.

The pedestrian along with three passengers from the bus were found injured at the location.

The pedestrian - a 60 year old woman - was found seriously injured at the location and was taken to a west London hospital. Her injuries are being treated as life threatening.

The passengers from the bus - three women aged 23, 42 and 40 - were also taken to a west London hospital suffering from minor injuries.

The bus driver is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

The roads have now fully re-opened.

Detectives from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
