Officers from the Met's Roads and Transport Policing Command investigating a sexual assault are appealing for the public's help to identify a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

The assault occurred on Sunday, 18 September, at around 00:10hrs at a bus stop outside The Delaunay, Restaurant on Aldwych, Westminster.

The 31-year-old female victim was approached by a drunk male as she waited at the bus stop. The alleged suspect sat extremely close to the victim on the bus stop seats, making her feel very uncomfortable.

He then sexually assaulted the woman.

Throughout the incident the victim continued to make it clear that she didn't want him near her.

The victim then boarded a route 168 bus, followed by the suspect who began shouting aggressively at her. He left the bus before it moved off.

The man is described as white, approximately 6ft in height, with short brown hair. He was wearing skinny jeans, a dark sweater with brown shoes.

Anyone with any information about the man or the incident is urged to contact PC Jonathan Weller in the Roads and Transport Policing Command via 101.
