Appeal following Sutton burglary

Detectives from Sutton Borough investigating a burglary at a residential address have issued CCTV footage of two men they wish to identify and speak to in connection with the incident.

On Friday, 1 April, police were called at around 08:05hrs to a report of a burglary at an address on Oldfields Road in Sutton.

The burglary was reported to have occurred at some point between 03:00hrs and 03:10hrs that day. A moped worth £2,500 was stolen.

Two men broke into the front of the address and stole a moped, keys and helmet from within the hallway of the family home.

CCTV overlooking the street caught two men walk up the road and minutes later walk down the road with one pushing the moped and another with the helmet.

The suspects captured by the CCTV are described as:

'Suspect 1' [ref: 210551] is described as a medium built man, aged in his 20s, with short dark hair and a short beard. He wore grey trousers and a plain grey sweatshirt.

'Suspect 2' [ref: 210552] is described as a slim built clean shaven man, aged in his 20s, with short dark hair. He was wearing a blue hooded top, dark trousers and dark trainers.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the two men shown on CCTV.
