UPDATE: Two arrested after man beaten with a bat in west London

Detectives investigating an incident that has left a man in critical condition in hospital have made two arrests.

A 21-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were arrested Monday, 19 August on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and are in custody at a west London police station.

Police continue to appeal for any witnesses to make contact.

Police were called at 0131hrs on Sunday, 18 August to a report of a man found unresponsive at Dovedale Close, Harefield.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a 33-year-old man suffering from serious head injuries.

The victim was taken by London Ambulance Service to a west London hospital where his condition is critical.
Initial police enquiries have established that the victim was beaten with a baseball bat.
