Appeal for witnesses to road traffic collision

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are appealing for witnesses and information after a 38-year-old man was seriously injured following a collision with a bus today, Tuesday, 25 August.

Police were called at 07:30 hours to reports of a pedestrian in collision with a bus on the northbound carriageway of the A1000 - High Road, East Finchley.

The man was attempting to cross the road and stepped off the footpath when he was struck by the bus. He was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service before being taken to a north London hospital with his injuries.

He remains in hospital in a critical condition.

The bus driver stopped at the scene - no arrests have been made.
