Appeal for witnesses to serious collision in Morden Park area

Officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Morden Park that left a motorcyclist critically injured.

On Sunday, 6 November police were called shortly before 20.30hrs to reports of a car and motorcycle in collision on Epsom Road, near the junction with Lower Morden Road.

Offices attended and the rider of the motorcycle - a man in his 20s - was taken to hospital. He is described as in a critical condition.

The driver of car stopped at the scene and has been assisting officers with their enquiries. They were not arrested.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) at Merton are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the collision.

The motorcycle - a black Kawasaki - was travelling on the Epson Road (towards North Cheam) when it collided with a red Citroen C3 at the junction with Lower Morden Road.

Officers from the SCIU are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them via 101.
