Officers from the Roads and Transport Police Command investigating a serious collision in Brent Cross, NW4 are appealing for witnesses.

On Wednesday, 20 April at about 12:15hrs a yellow Vauxhall Corsa collided with pedestrian railings on the A406 North Circular Road opposite the Brent Cross Shopping Centre, just south of the Brent Cross Flyover.

The 25-year-old driver of the Corsa suffered several injuries requiring hospital treatment. He has since been discharged.

Witnesses reported seeing a blue coloured sports car - described as a McLaren - that left the A406 North Circular at the A41 Brent Cross Flyover just before the collision.

Officers are appealing for the driver, or the owner, of this sports car to contact them.

PC Oliver Martin from the Roads and Transport Policing Command, said: "We believe the driver of this car may be a significant material witness to the collision. It is unlikely they were aware of the collision, but we are keen to speak to the driver to see if they can assist our investigation."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101.
