Appeal to trace man in connection with Parliament Hill attacks

Detectives investigating three separate attacks in the Parliament Hill area are appealing for help in identifying the suspect.

The first incident took place at 21:50hrs on Wednesday, 5 August. The remaining two incidents took place between 23:00hrs and 23:30hrs on Saturday, 8 August. All three incidents happened in the Parliament Hill area of Hampstead Heath. The victims were lone females in each case.

All three victims were assaulted resulting in bruising. At least two of the incidents were motivated by robbery, although nothing was stolen.

The suspect is described as a white male, aged 16-20 and of average height and slim build. He was clean-shaven with dark collar-length hair. On each occasion he was riding a pedal cycle.

Police are appealing for any information that may assist in identifying the man responsible for these attacks, or anybody who may have seen the suspect acting suspiciously earlier in the evening of Wednesday, 5 August or Saturday, 8 August.

The community are asked to remain vigilant if walking in this area at night, particularly women or girls on their own.
