Appeal to trace man wanted for questioning in Sutton linked series of commercial robberies

Police in Sutton are appealing for assistance after three businesses were robbed at knifepoint over a two day period.

In all three cases the suspect threatened staff members with a knife and stole cash, alcohol and cigarettes.

The offences took place at a convenience store at Demense Road, Wallington and a petrol station on Beddington Lane both on Tuesday, 1 August. On Wednesday, 2 August a convenience store at Seymour Road, Mitcham was targeted.

The suspect is a white male, aged around 40 years, 6ft tall, of medium-muscular build. At the time of the robberies he had facial stubble. He has a distinctive crown tattoo on the nape of his neck.
