Arrest following fail to stop collision.

A woman has been arrested following a fail to stop collision in Clapham.

Police were called at 00:05hrs on Friday, 25 December, to reports of a collision between a car and a pedestrian at Kings Avenue near the junction with South Circular Road, Clapham.

The car failed to stop at the scene.

London Ambulance Service were called and the pedestrian, a 54-year-old man, was conveyed to hospital.

He is in a serious condition. His next of kin are aware.

A 24-year-old woman was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop.

She remains in custody at a south London police station.
