Two arrests have been made as part of the Extinction Rebellion protests in London.

A 14-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy were arrested at approximately 13:15hrs on Friday, 19 July in Parliament Square on suspicion of obstruction of a highway and taken into custody.

A proportionate policing plan remains in place to ensure the Met can quickly respond to any spontaneous incidents that may arise.
