Police in Tower Hamlets borough are appealing for witnesses and information following a racially aggravated assault in Bromley-by-Bow.
Police were called at around 14:15hrs on 20 December to reports of a male assaulted in Empson Street, E3.
Officers attended and traced a man to an address in the street who was suffering injuries.
The victim, aged 26, was taken to an east London hospital by ambulance. His injury was described as not life threatening. Police await an update on his condition.
The attack is being treated as racially motivated due to what was allegedly said by those attacking the victim.
The three suspects are all white.
Suspect 1 was 5ft 7ins tall wearing a light shirt. He had dark hair.
Suspect 2 was 5ft 5ins tall wearing a Lacoste shirt. He had light hair
Suspect 3 was described as taller than the other two suspects.
They used a white van to leave the scene of the assault.
Detectives from Tower Hamlets CID are investigating and enquiries continue.

+ On 22 December two men - aged 24 [A] and 27 [B] - were arrested in Bethnal Green on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. Both were taken into custody at an east London police station. They were both later bailed to return on a date in mid February pending further enquiries.
