CCTV issued following theft of bag, Harold Hill

[Man sought following theft]

Police in Havering borough have released CCTV footage of a man they wish to speak to in connection with a theft from a vehicle in Romford.

On Monday, 5 December 2016 police were called shortly before 13:10hrs to reports of a theft from a car at B&Q in Tangent Link, Harold Hill. A handbag with over £2,000 worth of belongings was stolen.

The victim was loading a Christmas tree into the rear of her car when the suspect took the bag from the driver's seat.

CCTV of a suspect was indentified at a McDonalds restaurant in Bryant Avenue, Romford after the victim used the 'find my phone' app.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s with short black hair and beard, wearing a black leather jacket, black jeans and black trainers.

Police Constable Sam Barton, from Havering borough, said:

"We are keen to identify the man in the CCTV footage so we can speak to him about the incident. We would also urge anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us."
