CCTV released in high value watch robbery investigation

Detectives from Hackney Borough have issued CCTV footage of a person they wish to identify and speak to over a robbery of a high value watch a members club in Shoreditch.

On Sunday, 11 September police were called at a around 21:00hrs to reports of a man robbed of his 24carat gold Rolex watch - valued at £24,000.

The robbery occurred between 20:25hrs on and 20:40hrs that day at Shoreditch House members club in Ebor Street, E1.

The victim - a 31-year-old man - was threatened and assaulted and had the watch taken from his wrist.

The suspect then ran out of the building towards Bethnal Green Road.

Medical assistance was declined by the victim.

The suspect is described as a black man with short hair, 5ft 11ins tall in his late 20s wearing a grey hooded top, light jeans, light brown shoes and a light brown satchel.

PC Scott Stark, the officer in the case for Hackney CID, said:

"We are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man shown in the footage or the still released, or anyone who witnessed the incident."
