Cyclist injured in Edmonton collision

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision between a car and a cyclist in Edmonton.

Officers were called to Meridian Way, near the junction of Ardra Road, shortly before 16.00hrs on Friday, 28 February.

The cyclist, a 67-year-old man, was found with life-threatening injuries.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

The driver of the car, a Renault Laguna, stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Officers investigating the crash would like to speak to any motorists who were in the area at the time and may have witnessed events before, during or after the collision or have dashcam footage which may assist with the police investigation.
