Police in Havering are appealing for information and witnesses following the discovery of a dead horse.
Officers were called at around 10:15hrs on Saturday, 29 October, to reports of a mutilated horse found dead on land off of St Mary's Lane, Upminster.
The horse was dead when police arrived at the scene. A vet was called to examine the animal.
On initital inspection by the vet, it appears that the horse was mutilated after it died. Examinations are still underway to ascertain cause of death.
There have been no arrests.
