Police are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision in Holloway.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service were called to Parkhurst Road, N7, at approximately 02:40hrs on Saturday, 7 May, to reports of a moped in collision with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian - a woman in her mid-70s - was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries continue to identify next of kin and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

The moped rider - a man in his mid-20s - was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are keen to speak to a driver of a dark coloured Toyota Prius who stopped to assist the injured parties but left on arrival of the ambulance and before police attendance. Whilst not involved in the collision the driver is likely to have useful information about the circumstances of the collision.

There have been no arrests.

Anyone with information on the collision is asked to called the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8991 9555 or the police non-emergency line on 101.
