Fatal collision, Uxbridge

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses and information following the death of a man this afternoon (21 August).

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) to Hillingdon Road opposite Manor Waye in Uxbridge at 12:26hrs today, Friday 21 August, following reports of a road traffic collision.

Officers and the LAS attended the scene and discovered a male pedestrian suffering from serious injuries following a collision with a car.

The pedestrian - believed to be aged in his 90s - was taken to a West London hospital where he died of his injuries.

His next of kin have been informed, however a formal identification is yet to take place.

A post mortem will take place in due course.
