Detectives from Southwark Borough investigating a burglary at a commercial address have issued CCTV footage of three men they wish to identify and speak to in connection with the incident.
On Monday, 9 May, police were called at around 04:45hrs to a report of a burglary at the Co-Op on Spa Road in Bermondsey.
The burglary was reported to have occurred at some point between 04:00 and 04:45hrs that morning. A quantity of tobacco and lottery scratchcards were taken.
CCTV at the rear of the shop caught the moment three men smashed the lower half of the glass front door and then ran onto the shop floor. They went behind the counter and put a quantity of tobacco, cigarettes and scratchcards into a bag. The three men then left the shop with the goods.
The suspects captured on the CCTV cameras are described as:
'Suspect 1' [ref: 43484] is described as a slim built white man, aged in his 20s, wearing a dark blue hooded top, blue jeans, dark shoes and white gloves.
'Suspect 2' [ref: 43485] is described as a slim built, clean shaven white man, aged in his 20s. He was wearing a dark blue hooded zip top, dark trousers, trainers and white gloves.
'Suspect 3' [ref: 43486] is described as a slim built black man, aged in his 20s. He was wearing a dark brown cap, blue jumper, black trousers and black gloves.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the men shown on CCTV.
