Detectives continue to appeal for information following a fail-to-stop collision in Tower Hamlets and are urging a significant witness to come forward.

Police were called at 08:13hrs on Friday, 25 November, to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian in Bow Road, E3.

The pedestrian - an 11-year-old boy - was taken by London's Air Ambulance to an east London hospital. His injuries are critical.

The car involved - a silver/grey Audi A2 - did not stop, but was found by officers abandoned near Bow Cemetery.

Officers are keen to speak with a dog-walker who may have seen the car being abandoned near Bow Cemetery. The woman was wearing a blue or green jacket and walking a large black dog.

Anyone with information that may assist the investigation should call detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command on 020 8597 4874. To remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

+ A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop. He was bailed to a date in March.
