Further charge in Kye Manning murder investigation

Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of 19-year-old Kye Manning in Croydon on 11 July have charged another man.

[F] Lewis West, 18 (04.05.2001) of Waverley Gardens, NW10 was charged on Friday, 9 August with grievous bodily harm, violent disorder and the possession of an offensive weapon. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Croydon Crown Court on Friday, 30 August.

Previously, [D] Mason Bird, 18 (08.10.00) of Old Lodge Lane, Purley had been charged with GBH; violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Croydon Crown Court on Monday, 12 August.

Four other males – [A] 18; [B] 20; [C] 17 and [E] 15 – have been arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail.
