Harlesden murder victim named

Detectives continue to appeal for information and witnesses following a murder in Harlesden.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 22:45hrs on Wednesday, 2 November, to a shooting in Tynsdale Road, NW10.

Local officers and firearms officers attended the location and found a man in his 20s with gunshot injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Next of kin have been informed. Formal identification has not taken place, however officers are satisfied that the deceased is James Owusu-Ajyekum of Harlesden.

A post-mortem examination on Friday, 4 November, at Northwick Park Hospital mortuary gave cause of death as gunshot wounds.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating.

No arrests have been made and enquires continue.
