A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man found injured in Westminster.
[C] Antoni Chiakka, 21, of Enfield will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday, 5 August.
Police were called to reports of a fight at Henrietta Place, W1, at 06:27hrs on Saturday, 29 July.
At the scene officers found a 49-year-old man, a Swedish national, who had suffered head injuries.
The injured man was taken by London Ambulance Service to a central London hospital in a critical condition.
On Wednesday, 2 August he was pronounced dead at 16:43 hours.
His next of kin are aware. Formal identification has taken place, however we are not in a position to name him at this time. A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
The Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) are investigating.
A 21-year-old man [C] was arrested on Thursday, 4 August on suspicion of murder and charged as above.
Two men were previously arrested in connection with the investigation.
A 21-year-old male [A] arrested on 29 July on suspicion of murder and assisting an offender has been bailed to return on a date in late August.
A 21-year-old male [B] arrested on 31 July on suspicion of murder has been released under investigation.
