Police have recovered £20,000 worth of cannabis from an address in Harrow.

Officers were called to Oxleay Road, Harrow, at 04:08hrs on Wednesday, 5 August following reports of a group of men behaving suspiciously.

Upon arrival, officers detained three men aged in their thirties on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons.

Enquiries would later lead officers to a nearby house which was being used as a cannabis cultivation factory.

A quantity of cannabis and weapons including a machete and baseball bats were also recovered by police.

Sergeant Stewart Hyde from Harrow said: "We continue to successfully seek out large-scale production of cannabis using intelligence and technology.

"If you see unusual behaviour at a nearby house such as the curtains always being drawn, comings and goings late at night etc or if you are a landlord and notice unusual electricity usage or strange behaviour please let us know.

"Dial 999 if you see an offence happening or 101 or Crimestoppers to report suspicion."
