Rape of woman in Westminster

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information following the rape of a woman in Westminster.

At around 06:00hrs on Saturday, 12 December, a woman aged in her 50s was returning home from a night out when she came across a group of three males in the Edgware Road area and asked them for directions.

The three males led the woman into Park West Place, W2 where she was raped.

The three males made off on foot. They are described as three teenagers, of Asian or Arabic appearance.

The victim did not require hospital treatment. She has been offered professional support services.

An investigation has been launched by detectives from the Sexual Offences Exploitation & Child Abuse Command (SOECA). The investigation is at an early stage, but will include detailed analysis of all forensic material and CCTV.

There has been no arrest at this stage and enquiries are ongoing.
