Detectives investigating the murder of a man in Enfield have made two arrests.
The men - aged 29 [A] and 27 [B] - were arrested on suspicion of murder on the evening of Thursday, 24 August.
The 29-year-old has since been released under investigation and the 27-year-old released with no further action.
A murder investigation was launched after officers on routine patrol in Enfield were stopped by a member of the public at approximately 21:10hrs on Wednesday, 23 August and informed of a shooting.
A 54-year-old man was found collapsed in Westminster Road at the junction of Bounces Road suffering from gunshot injuries.
Additional officers, including firearms officers, and the London Ambulance Service attended.
The man was pronounced dead at 21:44hrs.
Next of kin have been informed and formal identification awaits.
A post-mortem examination was held on Friday, 25 August and gave the cause of death at multiple gunshot wounds.
An incident room has opened under detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC).
Detective Chief Inspector Laurence Smith said: "While we have made two arrests in this investigation, we continue to pursue all lines of enquiry.
"I would urge anyone who believes they might have information to come forward as it could prove vital for our investigation."
