Two charged with attempted robbery, Hampstead

Two men have been charged following an attempted robbery in Hampstead.

Ashley Smith – 30 (15.08.89) of Cardinals Way, N19 was charged on Thursday, 5 September with:

- attempted robbery;
- threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place;
- possession of class B drugs (cannabis).

He appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 5 September and was remanded in custody to next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Thursday, 3 October.

Smith was arrested on Wednesday, 4 September.

Jordan Northover – 26 (22.03.93) of HMP Wealstun, West Yorkshire was charged by postal requisition on Tuesday, 17 September with:

- attempted robbery;
- threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place.

He will appear via video link at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 25 September.

This follows an incident in Platts Lane, NW3 on 25 July.
