Two teenage girls charged following assault on shop worker in Croydon

Two teenagers have been charged with assault by beating and criminal damage following an incident at a shop in Croydon.

Police were called at 16:52hrs on Tuesday, 23 July to reports of an assault at a shop in North End, Croydon. The injured woman, a member of staff, was taken to a south London hospital where her condition was assessed as not life threatening.

Two teenage girls [A] and [B], both aged 17, were arrested.

They were subsequently both charged with assault by beating and criminal damage.

They were both bailed and are due to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 22 August.
