UPDATE: Fatal collision in Hendon

A man injured in a road traffic collision in Hendon has died. 

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at around 18:10hrs on Thursday, 12 January to reports of a collision between a silver Honda Civic and a pedestrian on Holders Hill Road, NW7, outside the entrance to Hendon Cemetery.

Officers attended and the male pedestrian was taken to a central London hospital. His condition deteriorated and he died on Saturday, 28 January. 

He can be named as Barinder Lal Duggal, 70 (02.12.46), of Hendon. His next of kin are aware.

Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.

An inquest will be opened and a post-mortem examination arranged in due course.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or the events leading up to the incident to get in contact. 

The male driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene. He was not arrested.
