UPDATE: Two people arrested for moped-enabled robberies charged

Two people arrested on Friday, 1 February by officers from the Met's Operation Venice who are dedicated to tackling moped crime have been charged.

The charges relate to ten moped-enabled robberies between Thursday 24 and Wednesday 30 January in the Hillingdon area and were carried out between the hours of 12:45hrs and 23:00hrs.

[A] Charlie Tunstall, 21 (31.05.97 ) of no fixed abode and [B] Jodie Hammond, 22 (18.09.96) of Bosanquet Close, Cowley were both charged on Saturday, 2 Febrauary with conspiracy to rob between 24 January 2019 – 30 January 2019 (10 robberies).

Tunstall was also charged with taking a moped without the owner's consent and Hammond with allowing to be carried on a stolen moped.

Tunstall was remanded in custody and Hammond released on bail with conditions, both will appear at Isleworth Crown Court on Friday, 01 March.
