UPDATED: Victim dies following collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Westminster.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at approximately 18:05hrs on Wednesday, 16 November to reports of a silver Mercedes Arocs in collision with a man on a mobility scooter on Millbank, close to the junction with Great College Road, SW1.

Officers attended and the 88-year-old man was taken by LAS to a south London hospital where he died in the early hours of Friday, 25 November.

Next of kin have been informed and the man has been named as Lord Taylor of Blackburn (10.06.28).

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

The 55-year-old male driver stopped at the scene and enquiries continue however, no arrests have been made at this time.

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating and would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision.
