Victim of fatal road traffic collision named

The victim of a fatal road traffic collision in Camden has been named.

Officers were called at approximately 11:50hrs on Friday, 10 February to reports of a lorry in collision with a female pedestrian in Hampstead Road, near the junction with Cardington Street, NW1.

London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance all attended the scene.

The victim was taken to an east London hospital for treatment but she subsequently died. Next of kin has been informed.

Although formal identification has not taken place, the deceased can be named as Jennifer Heskins, 55, of NW6.

A post-mortem examination took place at St Pancras mortuary on Thursday, 16 February. A cause of death awaits.

The lorry, which was travelling in the direction of Euston Road at the time of the collision, stopped at the scene - there have been no arrests.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Alperton investigate.
