Police in Kensington and Chelsea appealing for information after a man was attacked in Knightsbridge.
On Monday, 31 July at 20:33hrs police were called to Walton Place SW1X to reports of men on a moped who had thrown liquid in the face of a pedestrian.
Officers attended and the pedestrian, a 47-year-old man, was treated by London Ambulance Service at the scene before being taken to hospital.
He was treated for minor injuries and subsequently discharged from hospital.
It is not known if the liquid thrown was a corrosive substance. Enquiries continue to ascertain what the substance is.
Detectives from Kensington & Chelsea Borough are investigating, and at this early stage it is believed the liquid was thrown at the victim during an attempted robbery in Walton Street at the junction with Pont Street.
Footage has been retrieved which captured the suspects shortly after the incident.
Dressed in dark clothing and wearing helmets, they made off from the scene in the direction of Draycott Avenue, SW3.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
No arrests have been made.
