Wheelchair-bound man injured in collision has died

A wheelchair-bound man injured in a road traffic collision with a tipper truck in Battersea last week has died.

The collision happened shortly before 18:00hrs on Friday, 27 November in Queenstown Road, Battersea at the junction with Robertson Road.

The man, aged 67, was taken to a south London hospital in a critical condition. He died on Saturday, 28 November. Next of kin have been informed.

Officers have named him as Brian Munro, 67 (17.6.48) of Daley Thompson Way, Battersea SW6.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.

The lorry stopped at the scene. No arrests were made.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the collision are being carried out by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Merton.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with any information, to contact them.
