Birmingham food-bank receives golden delivery on Giving Tuesday!

Our Bournville based Customer Service and Logistics (CS&L) team donated a golden pallet packed with treats for the festive period to local food-bank B30 in South Birmingham.

The B30 foodbank in South Birmingham has received a golden pallet packed with treats for the festive period from the Mondelēz International Customer Service and Logistics (CS&L) team based at the nearby Bournville site.

Colleagues across the business have been supporting the B30 foodbank for a number of years, so when the CS&L team celebrated shipping out one million pallets this year, they were the natural choice to help honour the achievement with a special donation of treats for the festive season - handpicking the selection with beneficiaries in mind.

A bespoke pallet was created, made up of some of the UK’s most loved Cadbury brands including Heroes, Cadbury finger biscuits and hot chocolate.

Along with the giant drop-off of goodies, members of the Mondelez International team will volunteer at the B30 foodbank to support over the busy festive period.

Darren Redhead, CS&L director Northern Europe, said: “Shipping one million pallets is an incredible team effort. We wanted to do something memorable and community focused to mark the achievement and creating a golden delivery for our local foodbank on Giving Tuesday is the perfect way to do both.”

Nicola Human from B30 foodbank said: “The Mondelēz International team help the foodbank all year round. We’re thrilled with the golden pallet donation and really appreciative of the help from Heather Nicholson and all the other volunteers – this is our busiest time of the year and their assistance is invaluable.”
