Press release -

Enjoy a splashing family day out

Nectar Swim, which launches today (5 June 2013), will allow Nectar cardholders to swap Nectar points for swimming sessions at their local pool, giving families the chance to get active and enjoy days out together for less.

Over 400 swimming pools up and down the country have joined the new initiative so far, including public pools and members-only facilities, providing a splashing choice of locations in every region nationwide.

A Nectar Swim starts from as little as £1.50, or 300 points, for a child’s swim and £2.50, or 500 points, for an adult. Even better, family swims are on offer from as little as £7.50, or 1,500 points, meaning it’s easier than ever for families to enjoy a day out together.

Not only does Nectar Swim provide Nectar cardholders with access to hundreds of locations and facilities, often available only to members, but using Nectar points to pay for a swimming session is approximately 40% cheaper than if paying for the same session with cash.

“With over half the country’s children unable to swim and one in ten parents saying their kids only ever swim when on holiday*, Nectar Swim, is the perfect way to help make swimming more accessible and affordable,” comments James Frost, Marketing Director at Nectar, the UK’s largest loyalty programme.

Customers can use the Pool Finder on www.nectar.com/swim to locate their nearest participating pool. To redeem their points, customers simply log-in using their Nectar card number and a voucher will be emailed to them within 48 hours which they then take to the swimming pool along with their Nectar card.
