According to anonymous sources, the launch date of the iPhone 5S, the Cupertino firm’s next generation smartphone, will be on the 10th of September.

This is according to AllThingsD. According to the site, “Apple is expected to unveil its next iPhone at a special event on Sept. 10, sources told AllThingsD.”

Previous reports say that the iPhone 5S will sport a beefier processor, an improved camera, and LTE-Advanced support. It is also said to look extremely similar to Apple’s current flagship, the iPhone 5.

Apple is also said to be prepping the unveiling of their budget handset, the iPhone 5C, at the same event. According to reports, the handset will be available in a variety of colours and will be encased in plastic instead of the usual aluminium. The iPhone 5C is said to be Apple’s answer to cheaper Android offerings.
