Android 4.2.2 Coming Soon For The HTC One

Android is the most popular mobile operating system in the world and several high profile smartphones have been released this year that run on this software.  One of the very best is the HTC One which combines a metallic chassis with some wonderful specification.  Many users of this device are disappointed with the lack of an OS update since the model release but HTC have now confirmed that they are currently working on delivering Android 4.2.2 to this model.

Over the past couple of months we have been hearing an increased amount of speculation relating to the HTC One and the arrival of the latest version of the Android OS.  Up until now we have had no official confirmation from HTC as to whether this software would actually arrive but now the Taiwanese manufacturers have spoken up and said that it is in development.  They revealed this news in an interview with popular technology site Engadget but consumers will be disappointed that HTC have not given any specific dates for the release.  The model was first launched several months ago but is one of the last handsets to have a new Android update rolled out.

Whereas some manufacturers seem to be very quick at releasing the latest software soon after it has been announced HTC have become known for being one of the slowest to update their handsets.  The latest problem with version 4.2.2 of Android seems to be HTC's own Sense user interface that the HTC One also incorporates.  The company need to ensure that all elements of the Android package work with their own software features such as the new Blinkfeed and HTC Zoe which form part of the UI.  Once HTC are happy that their features work correctly alongside Android then we should see the new update get an official release.  Take a look at our website for the latest HTC One offers http://www.phoneslimited.co.uk/HTC/One.html

It seems as though the HTC One will indeed be receiving a new Android update although at this moment in time HTC are not giving any exact details about when we can expect to see it arrive.
