The Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OTA (over-the-air) update has been rolling out to units of the Google Nexus 4 smartphone in the UK, a report says.

Phones Limited has gotten the news via CoolSmartphone. According to the site, “As of 8pm GMT the UK sim-free Nexus 4 has begun to receive it’s Over The Air upgrade.

“You will recieve a warning if your upgrade is due but if you wish to manually check you are welcome to follow this risk free procedure.”

The procedure is simple. If the update hasn’t rolled out to your smartphone yet, all you have to do is hit “Settings,” then “About Phone,” then “System Updates,” and then “Check Now.”

The site adds, “The download is 169.3 mb so you may want to make sure you’re on wi-fi if your data plan does not allow for this, otherwise fill ya boots!”

Since Android 4.3 has rolled out to the Nexus 4, it’s likely the update will roll out to other Nexus devices such as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
