The Android 4.4 (KitKat) update has begun to roll out to the LG G2 in Korea, according to a Korean report.
This is according to Ruliweb, a Korean site. The report was first seen and translated by PhoneArena. According to the site, “Earlier this month, LG's own Korean website revealed that the Android 4.4 update was going to be pushed out to LG G2 units in the country, some time this month. Well, "some time" is today. As an early holiday gift to some Koreans toting LG's flagship Android model, KitKat is being sent out OTA. According to one report from inside the country, Korean carrier KT is sending out the update sequentially. The report failed to mention whether the mobile operator is looking at model numbers, date of purchase, or another piece of data to determine the order in which the update is sent out. The update weighs in at 637.39MB.”
With the KitKat update now available to G2s in Korea, we’re hoping the update rolls out to the handset in the UK soon. Keep it here for further updates.
