Android Key Lime Pie 5.0 On the Cards

Our reckoning on the launch of the newest Android OS, called the Key Lime Pie 5.0, is going to be around the time that the new iPhones are released. The iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 are due out soon and this is where Google will want to steal some of the 'limelight' from Apple, and launch the newest operating system which is set to be called the Key Lime Pie 5.0.

That said, it seems that September or October will be around the time we'll see it, as that's when the new Apple devices will be launched. Guesses are around the 22nd September mark. More speculation seems to be that the Sony Xperia phones will be the first to feature the Lime Pie OS as they have had the 4.3 Jelly Bean update along with Google's very own Nexus 4. However, there have been problems with the 4.3 OS and those are still being ironed out. Seems Google jumped the gun slightly with its launch!

It has been confirmed that the new Xperia phones will see the update and those include the Xperia SP, ZR, ZL, Ultra and Z. There has been no update for HTC or Samsung, which is odd, but as Google and Samsung seem to be at each other's throats all of the time, it's not surprising. The HTC One Google Edition will be the next to receive the update, but many people think that the 4.3 Jelly Bean update is pointless just now if Key Lime Pie is just around the corner.
