It seems another version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 (check out Samsung Galaxy S4 here) will be launched by the Korean tech giant. This new version will come with LTE-Advanced technology, which will offer twice the speed of the current 4G LTE technology.
Talking to Reuters (check out the story here), J.K. Shin, head honcho at Samsung Electronics, said, “We’ll be the first with the commercial launch of the advanced 4G version of the smartphone.”
The new S4 is expected to further strengthen profit margins. He said, “S4 sales remain strong. It’s selling far stronger than the (Galaxy) S III ... and the new LTE-Advanced (4G) phone will be another addition to our high-end segment offerings that ensure healthy profit margins.”
Shin added, “As operators seek to provide more data-centric mobile services, I think this will become mainstream 4G technology globally in the coming years.”
So what else will this new S4 do for Samsung? Shin said, “Such technology leadership will set the pace for the competition and help us become a major player in the network gear market.”
