Appeal following arson in Woodchurch

We are appealing for information following a fire at a derelict building in Woodchurch on Wednesday night (5 June 2019).

Emergency services were called to the building on Arrowe Park Road, near its junction with Woodchruch Road, at around 8.10pm to a report it was on fire.

The fire was extinguished by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service while police assisted with road closures in the surrounding area. Road were re-opened at around midnight.

Enquiries into the fire are at a very early stage, but it is believed it may have been started deliberately.

The building was unoccupied at the time and there are no reports of any injuries.
