We’re appealing for witnesses to a robbery at Wilmcote House in Tyseley Road, Somerstown, on Saturday (13 April).

At around 8pm the teenage victim was at the main entrance of the building when a man punched him in the face, grabbed the bag he was holding and ran off.

It is believed that the suspect had previously been in an argument with a young woman on the stairwell.

The suspect is described as:

  • White
  • Early 20s
  • 5’ 7” tall
  • Average build
  • Small, wispy beard
  • Short, light-brown hair, parted to the side
  • He was wearing a dark-blue tracksuit and trainers

If you witnessed the incident, or recognise the man from the description, we’d like to hear from you.

We’d particularly like to speak with the young woman who was on the stairwell, as she may be able to help with our investigation.

She is described as:

  • White
  • Late teens
  • Brownish coloured hair, in a ponytail
  • 5’ 6” tall
  • Slim build
  • She was wearing pink and grey pyjamas
