Thames Valley is appealing for witnesses following two burglaries in Marlow Road, High Wycombe.

At around 12:25am on Saturday (6/7) a property was broken into, with entry gained through a downstairs window.

The victim, a woman in her 90s, awoke from her sleep, and saw up to two men in her bedroom, who then fled on foot.

The two men were described to be of tanned skin, around 6ft tall, with a stocky build as well as being clean shaven with short dark hair.

Nothing was stolen during the incident.

Another burglary was reported in the same road, which took place between 7:00pm Friday (5/7) and 7:00am Saturday (6/7).

The offenders gained entry by smashing the rear patio doors, and a radio from inside the property was taken.

The description of the offenders are the same for both burglaries and it is believed that the two offences are linked.

PC Harry Gehnich, of Local CID at High Wycombe police station said: “If anyone has any CCTV footage from the time of the offence or thinks they saw the two described men, please contact the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting 43190204565 and/or 43190204714 or make a report online.

“If you don’t wish to speak directly with police, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers 100% anonymously on 0800 555 111 or make a report online.”
