Apple has unveiled iOS 7, the most updated version of iOS for the iPhone (more Apple iPhone 5 info here) and the iPad (more Apple iPad 4G info here). The updated software comes with the redesigned Photo app.

Apple announced in a press release (view press release here), “iOS 7 includes a redesigned Photos app that introduces Moments, a new way to automatically organize your photos and videos based on time and location. You can zoom out to see all your photos organized by Moments, Collections of Moments and Years. iOS 7 includes iCloud Photo Sharing, the easiest way to share just the photos you want with just the people you want. With iCloud Photo Sharing, family and friends can contribute their own photos and videos to your shared photo streams, and the new Activity view displays updates from your shared streams all in one place.”

Apple also setup a new page (view page here) for iOS 7, explaining its new features and improvements. On the page, it explains, “Now there are faster, easier, and more delightful ways to scroll down memory lane. Introducing Collections, Moments, and Years — smart groupings of your photos and videos based on time and place. Tap Years and all your shots fill the screen. Each year holds Collections, like your trip to San Francisco. And in that Collection are distinct Moments — photos from Union Square, videos from AT&T Park. So you can find a shot from whenever, wherever, in no time.”

iOS 7 will be rolling out in fall.
