August 9th Release For The HTC One Mini In The UK?

News   •   Jul 22, 2013 10:57 BST

Speculation about the HTC One Mini has been increasing in recent weeks, following the success of its flagship counterpart, the HTC One. This device has gained an enviable reputation as one of the most impressive smartphones on the market, after becoming one of most successful devices in terms of sales and gaining widespread critical acclaim.

As the name suggests, the HTC One Mini will be a smaller version of the HTC One. It is expected that the handset will sport a number of downgraded specifications and a price tag to match, so is likely to be an appealing option. The HTC One stands out not only because of its innovative spec list but its stylish and durable aluminium chassis, which is also believed to be utilised on the HTC One Mini. Of course, not everyone will be interested in owning the highest specifications smartphone on the market, so the HTC One Mini could be an ideal option, especially given its likely lower price tag.

Of course, we're still awaiting an official announcement of the HTC One Mini, but this has not stopped widespread speculation about its features. Android Authority has recently reported that @vizileaks has revealed on twitter that the handset will be released in the UK on the 9th of August. Of course, this information does not come directly from HTC, but the source has proven to be reliable in the past when it comes to information about unreleased smartphone models. For example, the same source recently revealed the release date of the Nokia Lumia 1020 before it was announced by Nokia, and turned out to be accurate. More details on the HTC One Mini are availalbe on our website along with HTC One price comparison.

Of course, the specifications of the device will remain a mystery until the phone is officially unveiled by the Taiwan based manufacturer. However, recent speculation has suggested that the device will sport a 4.3 inch super AMOLED display, Android 4.2.2 Jellybean OS with HTC Sense 5.0 UI, 2 GB of RAM, 4 Ultrapixel camera and a quad-core processor.

It is likely that much more news about the features of the HTC One Mini will be revealed as we near its rumoured release date. We will be sure to report back with all the latest details.
