Cannabis Dismantling Team seize half a million pound cannabis farm in Speke

Our Cannabis Dismantling Team (CDT) have seized a cannabis farm worth an estimated £500,000 following a warrant in Speke yesterday, Wednesday 26 June.

At around 7.50pm, officers entered a property in Alderwood Avenue and discovered around 125 plants and equipment across three rooms. The electricity supply had also been breached. The property was made safe and forensically examined before the items were seized and taken away. Enquiries are ongoing to find the occupants.

Matt Brown, Manager of the CDT, said: "This is another significant find by our officers and we're very pleased to be removing another death trap from the streets of Merseyside. The larger the set-up, the more risk to the communities we serve and protect.

"Fire, flood and serious violent crime can all be the consequences of cannabis farms, and we want to keep those safe who have the misfortune of living next to one. It is vital that we keep dismantling these premises, and disrupting those who choose to endanger others."
